Programs

Pregnancy Testing

Women’s Resource Center of Hancock County has been happy to offer free and confidential pregnancy test to women in our area for over 20 years.

Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds

We are excited to begin offering limited obstetric ultrasounds to women in our area free of charge. This new service will determine how far along she is and together we will be able to have life-saving conversations.

Points Program

The points program is an expansion of what once was located in the WRC office lobby. This program will include all services participating in an earn-while-you-learn system that way our clients can shop in the WRC Boutique once they have points saved up for items, they need.

Supervised Visitations

WRC was contacted by Child Protected Services (CPS) looking for a safe place to hold supervised visitations for families in our community. At the time we did not know that this was going to fit perfectly with our current parenting curriculum, BrightCourse. This has been a blessing by connecting WRC to many families in the community.

Bible Studies and Biblical Counseling

WRC Bible studies have opened hearts and developed minds over the years. We are grateful to be able to connect the individuals participating in Bible studies with churches in the communities once they have completed the program. Biblical Counseling is the process where the Bible, God’s word is related individually to a person or persons who are struggling under the weight of personal sin and or difficulties with suffering so that he or she might genuinely change in the inner person to be pleasing God.

Mentoring

We offer peer-to-peer mentoring. Whether you’d like help in a parenting dilemma or a life problem that needs some direction, we would be happy to sit alongside you and listen. We can offer advice and a caring dialogue as you process matters dealing with your parenting or relationships. In these sessions, we can also pray for them and bring Biblical principles and wisdom to these conversations.

C.A.R.E Program

The C.A.R.E. Program promotes positive relationships through good character, good choices, and good critical thinking skills. It provides current and medically accurate stats, studies, and stories, as well as creative teaching methods, interactive classroom experiences, and a safe environment for dialogue.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27
