SUMMARY:Baby Bottle Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:What an excellent way to use your spare change. Fill a baby bottle and change someone’s life. It’s that easy! As we meet the varied needs of those in our community\, we depend on and appreciate our church partnerships. We are especially grateful to those participating in our baby bottle fundraiser. \n\n\n\nOur goal\, as always\, is to fill baby bottles with coins\, cash\, and checks so we can continue to provide life-affirming counsel and support to women. We realize this year has looked different in many ways\, but we would still like to encourage community partnership this year. We’re teaming up with Anchored Sports to host our very first “Dad & Me Day.” This day is all about celebrating dads and father figures in our community—and the kids who look up to them. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Women’s Resource Center to support our programs. \nHere’s a sneak peek of what you can expect: \n\n\n“Why Dads Matter Wall” – Share a note about why your dad or father figure matters to you. These will be displayed all week leading up to the event and on the big day. \n\n\n\n\nMini Golf Challenge – Team up with Dad and compete using our electronic scorecard. \n\n\n\n\nBatting Cage Contest – Swing for all 15 pitches (or more) in a friendly competition. \n\n\nDriving Range Targets – Aim\, swing\, and see who can hit the most targets! \nNot into competing? No problem! You can still enjoy all three venues at Anchored Sports at your own pace while spending quality bonding time with Dad (or your father figure). \n\n\nWhy this matters: WRC’s Fatherhood Program empowers dads to be positive role models by strengthening their parenting skills and encouraging active involvement in their children’s lives. These donations provide tangible support to parents facing challenging circumstances and remind them that they are not alone. SUMMARY:14th Annual WRC Turkey Trot 5K!
DESCRIPTION:Happy Trotting!\nWelcome to the 14th Annual Turkey Trot 5k Presented by Chick-fil-A Findlay! \nIt’s that time of year again when the leaves begin to change and registration opens for the WRC Turkey Trot 5k. The 5k walk run begins at 9:00 a.m. Thanksgiving morning! Doors open at 7:30 a.m. in the auditorium of St. Michael the Archangel Parish\, with light refreshments\, same-day race registration\, and an area for diaper donations.  \nNEW: We are excited to welcome back a Tot Trot presented by Marathon Petroleum Corporation! This fun race is for kids 8 years old and under. Preregistered participants will receive a youth t-shirt. The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will take place on the horseshoe drive in front of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish (see attached map for route location). \nThe 5k race course is located in the scenic  \nCountry Club Acres west of St. Michael’s. Dogs and strollers are welcome. Please keep all furry friends waiting outside of the facility. Awards will be given to the top 30 male and female race winners. Additionally\, there will be prizes for Thanksgiving costumes awarded at 8:45 a.m. outside by the starting line. Volunteers will be available for assistance! Racecourse Map \nPacket pickup starts on Tuesday\, November 26th\, from 6- 10 a.m. and  3-7 p.m. and also on Wednesday\, November 27th\, from 11- 7 p.m. at Chick-fil-A Findlay\, 1931 Tiffin Avenue\, Findlay\, OH 45840 drive-thru for pre-registrants by 11/7/24. A graduate of Princeton University and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania\, Roland is an inspirational servant leader with a heart for Christ and a mind for business. After 20 years in the corporate world (with IBM\, Pepsi\, and Goldman Sachs)\, Roland spent 11 years as president of the National Fatherhood Initiative before joining Care Net in 2012 as president and CEO.
